A NEW MINDSET

(2 COR 5:17; EZEKIEL 11:19-20; EZEKIEL 36:26)

A
fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a personal responses and interpretation of situations, an inclination or a habit.  A definition of mindset by Miriam Webster Dictionary.

One thing we humans, our church and society has been battling with the ability to accept change, we feel proud when we are told we are still the same, but we fail to look at it critically. It is only God that is still the same yesterday, today and forever.

There was a time were at the forefront of bringing revival all over. We were the first to be identified as a church that speaks in tongues and manifests the working of the Holy Spirit. Now, that thing that made us so special and distinguished us from others is now accepted is almost all denominations, so what is new again.

It is time for us to have a new way of thinking or reasoning. Let it dawn on us that we are in a new era, a new day. Let’s repackage ourselves to suit the present situation and still remain doctrinally strong without losing our position. Peter was an Apostle of the New Testament but his belief was more on the Old Testament, it was Paul who has new mindset as influenced by the Holy Spirit and he excelled more than all the apostles.
Let it be registered in our minds that we are in a new day; things are no more the same. Everything has become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says” if we are in Christ we are new creation old things have passed away behold all things have become new. “The word behold means look or see all things are new. The issue here is that we claim that old things have passed away but people must recognize that we are new people with a new way of doing things. Having a new mindset means thinking in the new order if life in Christ.
As men of this church we are now in a new day don’t think yesterday, think today and think tomorrow.

Makers of Toyota will always say “Good Thinking, Good Product”. Good and successful life begins in the heart. No one can be greater than what he or she is thinking in his or her heart.
When Nelson Mandela of South Africa was being molested by the apartheid soldiers, he had positive mind set and believed that South Africa will be liberated one day and that came to pass. Until you change the way you think by thinking positively, things will remain the way they are. Your business, family, work, ministry and environment must change for good.

God spoke through Ezekiel that a time is coming that He God will not struggle with His people because he will give them a new heart, a soft heart, a willing heart and a heart that will make them follow after God’s leading. Then God will call them His people and they well call Him their God and they will possess the land he gave to their fathers.

Every man is expected to have a new mindset that sees possibilities, success, break through, favour, blessings and victory in the midst of difficulties and problems.

How to have a New Mind Set

A positive mindset can produce a positive attitude and a positive attitude leads to positive results. It also makes things become easier and even enjoyable:

·         Your destiny is in your hands only you can create your future, you are responsible for your own life.
·         Just be happy (your mind well be clearer and your thoughts more positive, Phil 4:8)
·         Always fill your mind with positive things, Micah 7:8
·         Be thankful (it will enhance the value of what you have, Psalm 100:1-3)
·         Avoid everything that can affect you badly.
·         Avoid unnecessary worry; it is possible not to worry at all, Matthew 6:25 & 34.

FEAR NOT.....!!!!!

The word 'FEAR NOT' appears 365 times in the bible. There are 365 days in a year, so it's one for each day. Therefore I say to you today, my brother, my sister, FEAR NOT. You may be going through hell right now, but keep going. The obstacles and challenges might be too much for you and you can't see any hope for tomorrow. I say unto you FEAR NOT. That is the word of God to you, to your Finances, Health, Education, Family, Marriage, Career, Ministry, Dreams, Aspirations etc. Because He lives, you can face tomorrow. Because he lives all fear is gone. I say FEAR NOT, the Lord is with you. He'll bring it to pass. Be courageous, Be not dismayed. Never act like a victim, act like a victor. Because we are more than conquerors.
The top is where you belong. God bless you. Go and succeed.

IN YOUR HARD TIMES, BE STRONG......!!!!!!

We all go through difficult situations in our lives; it could be financial, a natural disaster that destroys our home and sense of well being, or it could be the sudden loss of a job or someone we love; whatever it is we can’t let these situations defeat us.

It’s OK to take a moment to reflect and even cry but, once we let it all out, we have to wipe our tears away and move forward.
There will be times when we find out just how strong we really are, and that we can overcome any obstacle that falls in our path, if we just believe in ourselves, and never give up.

Don’t forget to smile when times are tough, take time to smell the roses, and to get rid of negative thoughts because when you are going through a difficult time you definitely need something positive to focus on during the storm.

Remember, you don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only option you have.
Go and Succeed.

LISTEN, LEARN AND GROW UP........

I see so many around me, hungry...desperate for love that comes from a relationship.
Wanting to be held, sent texts, called and visited, given gifts and told they are special and mean
something. They want to be called,"baby","sweetheart"and God knows what else.
Some even hungry for sexual satisfaction. But this is certainly not"needful"for people who
don't even know where they are going in life or who they are.
I see so many youths wasting their God-given time, talents and energies pursuing relationships that
are not meaningful. Meaningless not because they are necessarily bad.
But when you go after a good thing at a wrong time, can you handle it in a good way?
And can the results yield something good?
People keep saying when the person they were with leaves them that he or she
left because it wasn't meant to be. I don't buy that.
I cannot believe EVERYONE leaves because it was not to be!
I cannot believe EVERY SINGLE RELATIONSHIP hit the rocks because it was
just not"their time". That it all ends because the elements or something worked against them.
That's as improbable as saying every relationship ended because of one person's issues.
More likely both had a hand in it.
**Then again, there are some people who...well, let's not go there**
The truth is that some of us are just not ready!
We're not mature for such commitment.
We lack understanding of even the most basic principle that love is not just"a feeling you feel".
How then can we handle a relationship right?
And if we can't, what on God's green earth are we doing in one?
No wonder all over the place are broken hearts and bruised spirits.
One period I had counseled so many youths I was ready to explode with everything from tears to anger. So much wasted time and strength!
Why the rush?
Why the clamor?
Why run through life when you should take it one step at a time?
The average youth now in secondary school already has a boyfriend or girlfriend and by university, they've had at least three relationships.
No, I'm not mouthing off; I've had the chance to counsel more than I can count!
What's going on here?
Why this sudden hunger?
Ladies who cannot even understand what it means to nurture a man, his child or help him build a home are
busy dating and running from one relationship to another!
Men, who don't even know where they'll be 3 years from now, not to mention 5 years are chasing after girls
and speaking of being in
love and having a boo! (Is this Rent-a-ghost? Or Casper the friendly ghost?) God, have mercy!
There is a time for everything! Be focused and go through life stage by stage!
Don't skip life's classes! You'll regret it in the end and only have yourself to blame!
And then we'll hear the usual sad story; "All guys are just the same"and"All girls are just
the same". "Young women of Jerusalem, promise me by the power of deer and gazelles never to awaken love before it is ready...The passion of love bursting into flame is more powerful than death,
stronger than the grave. Love cannot be drowned by oceans or floods; it cannot be bought, no matter what is offered". Songs of Songs 8:4-7 (Contemporary English Version) Does that by any chance
sound like something you should dabble and experiment in with every Tom, Dick, Emeka and James?
Or every Jane, Sarah and Hannah? Sit still.
Build yourself. Be focused and develop and grow.
When the time comes, you'll know. Believe me, as long as your mind and spirit are attuned
you will know! And then who will stand in your way? Then your relationship will be right and flow...at least,
it will have the chance to! And then, what a great marriage one can have
when one has gone through the process and grown and matured.

MY UNEXPECTED THOUGHTS

At 19, One would expect that the mistakes of
the past would have been corrected and the
future re-written however that is not always
the case therefore in the event that a
discrepancy should occur if not sure, It is wise to be
prepared...
"The answer we seek is locked somewhere in
our mind as such the aim should not be to
find the right answer, it should be to
remember it" This line could save a life but i
dare say not a Relationship since all the
answers dis-covered and re-covered in the latter would still
have the same effect(PAIN,STRESS) owing to the fact
that the problem encountered in this scenario
should not be finding the right answer, It
should be making it known...
We all have a separate pair of Achilles' tendon
so it is safe to say that our Achilles' hills
differ in the same perspective, Some like to
know theirs' and others don't with intentions full of reasons but I found
mine in you and i let you go, not because you
made me feel vulnerable or weak nor seek but
because it might attempting to control my
weakness and ...
As individuals, We may be divided into 2 sub-
classes;Class 1 are the people who love battle
and would do whatever it takes to win
regardless of the cost,These are the Activist
or the Bellicose individuals however I would
love to believe that i belong to the second
class of people who are known for,in plain
terms"Taking the least bloody paths"They are
the Pacifist...
To you, who brought sunshine into my life-
The Least Bloody path is not the path that
hurts you the most, Its the one that Hurts me
the most...........noble thoughts.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG.....STAY RIGHT!!!!!!!

Will things ever go wrong and if they do,what becomes of me?
Will things ever stay wrong and if things go wrong, what do I do?
What really makes things go wrong?
How can I stop things from going wrong?
What are the end result or consequences of wrong situations?
Are my so powerless as to control situations and issues from going wrong?
......But why do things go wrong?

A failed business?
A broken marriage/relationship?
A consistently sinful habit?
A stagnated finances?
A family tale and history of shame and sorrow?
A troubling health record?

In fact, why would God allow certain things to just happen?
Is He not the all knowing and all powerful GOD?
Can't He stop evil before it happens to me/us?

This and more are endless searching questions going thru the mental structure of the human race!

In all note this, when things go wrong as they must sometimes, stay right at all cost!

You can always make it

1) Life Won’t Be The Same Without You
• You are important to this world and believe it or not, someone is waiting on you to bloom to enrich their lives. Yeah, I know you’re saying that nobody cares about you, but trust me, somebody does. You are too important to the world to just quit!
2) What If You Win
• You may feel like life is constantly challenging you and you can’t take it anymore. You may want to quit right now, even as you are reading this. But here is a thought, what if you win the next fight or what if you overcome the next obstacle. You will never know if you give up!
3) What Is Your Light Bulb
• Thomas Edison failed over 2000 times trying to create the incandescent light bulb. When asked, he said he didn’t fail, he just found 2000 ways not to make a light bulb. So what are the light bulbs in your life? What is that thing you can’t get right….don’t give up….because you are about to discover what you have been looking for.
4) Focus On The Future
• When an Olympic runner is in a race, he or she is focusing on one thing….the finish line. You have to focus on the big picture…not just where you are right now. Focus on where you want to be.
5) Learn To Say I Won’t
• Make an agreement with your mind and your mouth, that you “Won’t” give up, you “Won’t” be another statistic….you “Won’t” be a failure.
6) Life Ain’t No Crystal Stair
• One of my favorite poems is by Langston Hughes, called “Crystal Stair”. In that poem it’s a mother talking to her son telling him that “life ain’t no crystal stair”. In otherwords, life is tough, it has cracks and rough spots, but the ultimate end is victory…..but only to those who stood their ground and rode the course.
7) There Is A Rainbow After Every Storm
•Regardless of what you are facing, you can make it through…There is a rainbow on the other side of your situation. Stay strong, stay focused and……never give up!

JAPAN VOWS TO 'NEVER GIVE UP' SEARCH FOR 'IS' HOSTAGES....

JAPAN on Saturday vowed to "never give up" its struggle to save two Japanese hostages held captive by Islamic State militants after the deadline to pay their ransom passed in agonising silence.
Whether freelance journalist Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa, the self-employed contractor he had gone to rescue, were alive remained unknown a day after the deadline to secure their release expired with no word from their captors.
The Islamist militants had threatened to kill the hostages if they did not receive $200 million in 72 hours, which Tokyo interpreted as meaning 2:50 pm (0550 GMT) on Friday.
Deputy Foreign Minister Yasuhide Nakayama, who was heading Japan's efforts to rescue its two nationals out of Jordan's capital Amman, told reporters: "It is a very difficult path to see their release, despite a variety of routes.
"We are focusing on scrutinising information over again. We will never give up. We will bring them home."
Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters there was "nothing new to report" after holding a meeting of an emergency taskforce on Saturday morning.
Islamic State militants released a video this week in which Goto and Yukawa, apparently kneeling in the desert, are threatened with execution by a man with a British accent.
The jihadist group, which rules large swathes of Iraq and Syria under a strict form of Islamic law, has murdered five Western hostages since August last year but this is the first time it has threatened Japanese captives.
Junko Ishido, Goto's mother, on Friday launched an emotional appeal begging for mercy for her son.
"I say to you people of the Islamic State, Kenji is not your enemy. Please release him," she said.
Japanese officials said they are still trying secure a channel of communication to contact the Islamic State group as they scrutinise various information.
Yosuke Isozaki, an advisor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, on Friday reportedly said there had been some "indirect" communication with the militants, but "nothing direct".
Tokyo has little diplomatic leverage in the Middle East, but local media say Abe may try to use his close relationship with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to rescue the hostages.
Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper reported Saturday that Jordan has also tried to contact the Islamic State through influential religious leaders in Amman.
The Islamists linked their $200 million ransom demand to the amount Abe said he would earmark to help countries dealing with the influx of refugees fleeing fighting between IS and regular forces.
Tokyo is under pressure from Britain and the United States to stand firm on the ransom, as both countries have a policy of never paying ransoms.
The NKH news agency on Friday quoted a "public relations" official from the Islamic State group describing the Japanese as "infidels" for supporting efforts to stop them.
"A statement will come out sometime later," he said, without giving further details.

THE BEST.....

Heavy rains remind us of challenges in
life... Never ask for a lighter rain.
Just pray for a better umbrella. That is
attitude.
Life is not about finding the right person,
but creating the right relationship.
It's not how we care in the beginning,
but how much we care ‘til the very end.
Some people always throw stones in
your path. It depends on you what you
make with them - a wall or a bridge?
Remember you are the architect of your
life.
Search for a beautiful heart, but don't
search for a beautiful face.
Because beautiful things are not always
good, but good things are always
beautiful.
It's not important to hold all the good
cards in life.
But it's important how well you play with
the cards you hold.
Often when we lose all hope and think
this is the end,
The Almighty smiles from above and
says, `Relax dear, it's just a bend. Not the
end.
